Bradford, PA News Roundup

July 28, 2007

The past week’s news was dominated by Bradford, PA’s Summerfest and Zippo’s 75th anniversary. Friday the weather was cooperative and provided a pleasant setting for all the day’s events including the “Light Up The Night Parade” and fireworks. See the Bradford Era’s report here.

The Bradford Era also reported a major fire at the Cline Oil property in the Longfellow Avenue area. The huge fire and explosions fortunately resulted in no injuries, but an estimated 1.75 million dollars in damage. A fire on Pike Street did result in injuries for fire fighter Mike Valine. Both fires have been determined to be “undetermined” in origin.

More local news can be found on the WESB website.

The Otto Township (Duke Center) Old Home Days starts today. It’s always worth checking out. You can find the schedule on DukeCenterPA.com. Click here to find Duke Center, PA.

I won’t try to predict the weather again. Plan on rain, pray for sunshine.
