Man Accused of Illegally Dumping BrineJohn Elwood MarshA Lycoming County man was charged today by agents from the Attorney General’s Environmental Crimes Protection Section with illegally dumping well production water – commonly known as brine.Attorney General Linda Kelly identified the defendant as John Elwood Marsh, 47, 6 Drake Lane, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County. Marsh is a tanker truck driver for Gas Field Specialists, Inc., which is a subcontractor to Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.Kelly said that Marsh is responsible for hauling “gas buster tanks,” which are tanks used to hold gas well production water (brine) after it is extracted from wells.According to the criminal complaint, on Feb. 1, 2012 Marsh’s truck became caught in the mud along a rural road in Clinton County causing his gas buster tank to become stuck in a ditch.

A Fugitive From Justice arrest warrant was served last Saturday at about 6:50 pm on Route 6, 1/4 mile west of Main Street in Roulette Township.Christopher Anderson, 28, of 419 Main Street, Roulette, PA, was taken into custody for a Dangerous Drugs Violation in New York. Anderson was arraigned and placed within the Potter County Jail where he will await extradition to New York. Trooper Derek Watters is the investigator in the case.

Police initiated a traffic stop for numerous traffic violations last Saturday at 2:00 am on Route 6 in Coudersport Boro.Joey C. Osborne, 21, of 13 Liberty Lane in Coudersport, PA, was determined upon investigation by Trooper Bryan Uhl to be DUI. Osborne was taken into custody without incident.

A Harrison Valley man is facing a Harassment charge in District Court 55-4-03 after a domestic violence incident at a residence along Tannery Street in Harrison Township last Wednesday at 7:00 am.Raymond Eugene Smith, 55, of Tannery Street, Harrison Valley, PA, is accused of striking a 48 year old female victim in the face, according to a news release from Trooper Chad Savannah who investigated.

Harrison Valley Man Charged With Harassment

A disturbance call at 2:30 am on Saturday resulted in a Coudersport man being charged with DUI and related summary charges.Jarret William Wadsworth, 22, of 981 Brookland Road, Coudersport, PA, drove to a residence on Route 6 near Dingman Run Road in Coudersport Boro, and began to bang on the window and door of the residence, according to Trooper Chad Savannah, who investigated. Wadsworth was then seen getting back into his car and driving away from the residence.Upon making contact with the accused, he was determined to be under the influence.
